Trekking Hellas, founded in 1986 by two mountain guides, is the first Greek agency specializing in outdoor holidays. Today, it is the trademark of quality in walking holidays and adventure trips in and out of Greece. Operating in the highest standards, since 1986, we have made it possible for thousands of visitors to discover Greece.
More than 70 people, mountain and trekking guides, drivers, pilots, river guides and kayak instructors, sailing skippers and dive masters are ready, round the year to make your holidays an unforgettable experience. Our trips visit the most authentic and remote areas of the mainland and the islands. Central to our philosophy is to see Greece and other Mediterranean countries at an unrushed pace. We frequently stop to admire the breathtaking view or identify a flower or a bird. Our tour leaders are experienced, approachable and have a lively interest in the Greek flora and fauna. The tour leader acts as interpreter; something that can lead to impromptu visits of an olive-press or a shepherd’s house where he is making traditional feta cheese. We all have a deep respect for the remote communities we visit, encouraging conversation with local people. We are also strongly involved in local welfare projects and in relation to university bodies we continuously monitor the impact of tourism in sensitive areas.

The head office of Trekking Hellas Group of Companies is based in Athens and has developed a lot of expertise in the 19 years of its existence. By accumulated knowledge of the 20 permanent employees in Athens office and its trained resources any event for individuals or groups can be organized.
At this moment, Trekking Hellas Group of companies has 12 operation bases spread through out the Greek islands and mainland: Athens, Thessaloniki, Patra, Karpenisi, Trikala, Ioannina, Corfu, Grevena, Arcadia, Lefkada and Larissa. These operation bases currently employ more than 70 people with different backgrounds for example mountain, trekking and river guides, kayak instructors, sailing skippers, dive masters, jeep drivers and pilots.

Whether you choose to join a guided tour or a self-guided program in one of our branches you will meet one or more of our guides. All our guides have gone through extensive training on their field of specialty and know very well the area they are guiding. Most of them are locals who have grown in a particular area of Greece and are outdoor enthusiasts who look forward to give you the most you can grasp by visiting their territory. Trekking Hellas invests heavily on it’s guides training by organizing seminars, transmitting on the job knowledge and experience and giving incentives for improvement to exceptional guides.
